Ode to Joseph and the AMAZING Technicolor Dreamcoat

Ode to Joseph and the AMAZING Technicolor Dreamcoat -- By Robert (BOB) Smith.

**Bob read this closing night, to the cast....and I among others, sobbed. It's that AMAZING**

It all began at Easter time, our cast began to grow
you all were nervous, and so was I, wondering who would fill the show.

Find Charming Children, Graceful Dancers, Jacob strong and true
Find a witty Potiphar and Mrs., oh what's a director do do?

We cast all of the brothers, then lost, then added more,
then lost, then added until we got the best brothers we could ask for.

Wives were next in line to fill, we had to get it right
Singing dancing divas who could act will all their might.

Three fantastic Narrators, check and a royal ham for Pharaoh
Four big strong guards to keep Egypt safe, but where on earth is JOE?

In a hotel down in New Orleans, Joe was singing to his phone,
That was it, we had it, the cast was set and done.

Hour after hour we sang with Donny O,
then danced around with stinky feet singing Go! Go! Jo!

From the small cramped mirrored dance room, to the sun baked parking lot
We began to catch the vision, and man did we look hot. (In more ways than one)

Then came our amazing stage crew, our lights and tech came too
With only 4 days to regroup, we were finally in the school.

Our first High School rehearsal was rough, the second was about the same
the third was not too much better, then on the fourth night it finally came.

The entire cast just sparkled, was it really true,
Joseph cast, Joseph cast, was it really you.

They came by the thousands and paid to laugh and cry and scream.
They were inspired and touched and entertained, and left with brand new dreams.

But like amazing dreams at night must end when we awake.
Our AMAZING run of Joesph has just one final take.

Take Seven! Called the director, lets make it the very best!
The Stage is Set, the House is packed, with 747 guests.

Joesph Cast, We've reached AMAZING now we never want to stop.
Guess what, I've read the book and you all com out on top.

A dream is a wish your heart makes when it's fast asleep,
Well, Mine came true and this is one the I will always keep.
